COMPOSITION

Active substance:
Bromadiolone – 0.05 g/kg
(CAS No.: 28772-56-7)

Contains denatonium benzoate – an extremely bitter substance that reduces the risk of accidental ingestion by humans.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Place bait by hand in infested areas while wearing protective gloves.

The method of placement depends on site conditions; priority must be given to minimizing exposure to non-target species.

Bait may be placed:
• in tamper-resistant bait stations
• in protected bait points
• freely but inaccessible to non-target animals (depending on the environment)

If placed in bait stations, secure the bait inside to prevent rodents from dragging it away.

Paper sachets must be placed unopened.

When selecting a rodenticide, consider the resistance status of the target population. If resistance is suspected, use an alternative active substance.

In public areas, the treated area must be clearly marked and warning notices displayed explaining primary and secondary poisoning risks.

DOSAGE

Rat control

Up to 200 g of bait per bait point.

Spacing:
• 10 m in low infestation
• 5 m in high infestation

Mouse control

Up to 40 g of bait per bait point.

Spacing:
• 10 m in low infestation
• 5 m in high infestation

Rodent death begins 3–5 days after ingestion.

Inspect bait points every 7–10 days.
Replace consumed, damaged or contaminated bait.
If all bait has been consumed, replenish the bait quantity.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Prevent access to bait by children, birds and non-target animals (especially dogs, cats, pigs and poultry).

Secure bait wherever possible.

Permanent preventive use of anticoagulant baits is permitted only under professional supervision.

Anticoagulant bait should normally achieve control within 35 days. If rodent activity continues, investigate the cause.

FIRST AID

Bromadiolone is an anticoagulant and may cause bleeding. Effects may be delayed for several days.

If no active bleeding, measure prothrombin time (INR) 48–72 hours after ingestion.

If INR > 4:
Administer Vitamin K1 (phytomenadione) 5–10 mg by slow intravenous injection
Children: 100 µg/kg body weight

Treatment may be required for several weeks.

Antidote: Vitamin K1 (under medical supervision)

WASTE MANAGEMENT

During treatment, remove dead rodents whenever bait is checked or replenished.

In heavy infestations, daily checks may be necessary.

Dispose of dead rodents and leftover bait according to local regulations.

STORAGE

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.

Shelf life: up to 24 months.
