Guidelines and Directions for Use

Before using the product, read the product description and all accompanying information and follow it. Before placing the bait, inspect and assess the infested area in order to identify the rodent species, their activity range and the level of infestation.

Remove easily accessible food sources for rodents (e.g., spilled grain, food leftovers). Do not clean the infested area before starting control, as this may disturb the rodent population and make bait uptake more difficult.

The product is recommended for use as part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach (hygiene + physical control methods where possible). Place the product close to areas where rodent activity has previously been observed (runways, nests, feeding sites, burrows, etc.).

Where possible, secure bait stations to the ground or other structures. Bait stations must be clearly marked (rodenticide; must not be moved or opened). When used in public areas, the treated area must be marked, and a warning must be placed near bait stations explaining the primary and secondary risks of anticoagulant poisoning and the first actions to take in case of poisoning.

The bait must be fixed so that animals cannot drag it away from the bait station. Place the product in areas not accessible to children, birds, pets, farm animals and other non-target animals. Keep away from food, drinks, animal feed and surfaces that may come into contact with them.

When using the product, wear chemical-resistant protective gloves (EN 374). Do not eat, drink or smoke during use. After use, wash hands and any areas that came into contact with the product.

The inspection frequency of the treated area is determined by the user, based on the initial survey and the code of good practice. If bait uptake is low, place additional bait points and/or change the bait type. If, after a 35-day treatment period, activity does not decrease, determine the cause; resistance may be suspected. Consider a non-anticoagulant rodenticide or a stronger anticoagulant rodenticide, as well as traps.

If possible, inform nearby persons before treatment begins. Do not use in areas where resistance to the active substance is suspected. The product must not be used for longer than 35 days without assessing the situation and effectiveness (exception: a justified permanent baiting strategy). To prevent resistance, do not rotate anticoagulants with similar or weaker efficacy; choose a non-anticoagulant or a stronger anticoagulant if switching.

Do not wash bait stations/accessories with water between uses. Dispose of dead rodents in accordance with local requirements.

Application Rate and Placement

Indoors (House mouse Mus musculus / Brown rat Rattus norvegicus)

Mice: bait points 10–40 g. Place every 5 m; reduce to 2 m in case of heavy infestation.
Rats: bait points 20–200 g. Place every 10 m; reduce to 5 m in case of heavy infestation.

Method of use: ready-to-use bait in tamper-resistant bait stations; covered and protected bait points.

After completing the treatment, collect any unused product. If permanent baiting is used, it is recommended to check the area at least once every 4 weeks.

When placing bait stations near drainage systems, ensure the bait does not come into contact with water.

Outdoors around buildings (mouse / brown rat)

Mice: 10–40 g; 5 m (2 m in heavy infestation).
Rats: 20–200 g; 10 m (5 m in heavy infestation).

Protect bait from precipitation. Place in areas that cannot flood. Replace bait if it has been damaged by water or has become dirty. After treatment, collect unused product. For outdoor use, bait points must be covered and strategically placed to reduce exposure to non-target species.

Open outdoor areas and outdoor waste dumps (brown rat)

Rats: 20–200 g; 10 m (5 m in heavy infestation).
Covered and protected bait points only. Protect from precipitation and flooding. Replace wet/dirty bait.

Sewer systems (brown rat)

Rats: 10–200 g per manhole; 200 g/manhole in heavy infestation.

Bait must be fixed in the station or positioned so that it does not come into contact with wastewater and cannot be washed away. Use only in sewer systems connected to wastewater treatment plants.

Eye contact: rinse with eyewash or water; keep eyelids open for at least 10 minutes.
