RODENTOX Rodenticide Grain Bait

Rat Poison – Grain Bait

Ready-to-use rodenticide for the control of brown rats (Rattus norvegicus) indoors and outdoors around buildings.
For non-professional use.

Area of Use

  • Control of brown rats indoors

  • Control of brown rats outdoors around buildings

Directions for Use

Before Using the Rodenticide

  • Place the product in areas where rats have been observed (burrows, droppings, runways, gnawing damage, etc.).

  • Assess the level of infestation and apply appropriate control measures.

  • Consider whether the infestation can be eliminated without rodenticide (e.g., traps).

  • Use rodenticide only when justified.
Do not use for preventive purposes or monitoring rodent activity.

  • To improve effectiveness and prevent reinfestation:

    • Seal holes and burrows.

    • Remove accessible food (food waste, spilled grain, etc.).

    • Eliminate available water sources.

  • Do not completely clean the infestation area before baiting, as this may disturb rodent feeding behaviour.

Preparation Before Baiting

  • Sachets must be placed in a lockable, tamper-resistant bait station.
    (Bait station not included.)

  • Recommended: Multibaiter® or equivalent bait station distributed by Bábolna Bio Ltd.

  • One bait station must contain only the maximum bait amount according to dosage.

  • If possible, secure sachets inside the bait station with rods or nails.

  • Keep the product packaging until the end of treatment.

The bait station must be clearly labelled:

PROTECT rodenticide bait
Active substance: 0.0027% bromadiolone

Application

  • Place bait stations where rats are active – along walls and near harbourage areas.

  • Ensure bait stations are inaccessible to children, pets, livestock and wildlife.

  • Secure bait stations where possible.

  • Protect from rain and water.

  • Use only in closed bait stations.

Application Rate

100–150 g (2–3 sachets) per bait station.

If more than one bait station is required, minimum distance between stations:

  • 7 m (high infestation)

  • 10 m (low infestation)

Monitoring

  • Inspect bait points every 5–7 days at the beginning.

  • Thereafter inspect at least once per week.

  • Replace consumed bait.

  • Remove and replace contaminated or damaged bait.

  • If bait is consistently consumed, increase the number of bait points.

  • If bait remains untouched but rodents persist, relocate the bait station.

Due to the delayed anticoagulant effect, rodent death usually occurs 3–5 days after ingestion.
Infestation is normally eliminated within 2–6 weeks.
If no significant reduction after 35 days, contact a pest control professional.

Safety Measures

  • Use only for rodent control and according to instructions.

  • Do not use to kill non-target animals.

  • Toxic to mammals and birds. Secondary poisoning may occur.

  • Do not eat, drink or smoke during use.

  • Wash hands thoroughly after handling.

  • Do not use contaminated or damaged bait.

  • Keep away from food, drink and animal feed.

  • Prevent contamination of natural waters.

  • Dangerous to wildlife.
