Rat and Mouse Poison – Ready-to-Use Paste Bait

Product Description

Protect® Rodenticide Fresh Bait is a ready-to-use rodenticide for the control of brown rats (Rattus norvegicus) and house mice (Mus musculus). The product is intended for non-professional use indoors and outdoors around buildings.

The bait comes in 10 g paste sachets packed in filter paper, allowing rodents to detect the bait without opening the sachet. The product contains a bittering agent (denatonium benzoate) to reduce the risk of accidental ingestion by humans.

0.0027% (0.027 g/kg) bromadiolone

Before Use

Before placing the rodenticide:

• Confirm rodent activity (burrows, droppings, gnaw marks, tracks).

• Assess the level of infestation.

• Consider non-chemical control methods where possible.

• Seal holes and remove accessible food and water sources.

⚠ Do not use for preventive purposes.

Bait Preparation

• Do NOT open the filter paper sachet.

• Place the sachet inside a tamper-resistant bait station.

• Bait station is not included in the package.

• Secure sachets inside the station where possible.

Application Rates

For Rats

• Low infestation: 100 g (10 sachets) per 10 m

• High infestation: 100 g (10 sachets) per 5 m

For Mice

• Low infestation: 40 g (4 sachets) per 10 m

• High infestation: 40 g (4 sachets) per 5 m

Placement & Monitoring

• Place along walls, behind furniture, under cupboards.

• Position near rodent pathways and nesting areas.

• Protect from water and weather conditions.

• Keep out of reach of children and non-target animals.

Inspection Frequency

• Mice: after 2–3 days, then at least weekly

• Rats: after 5–7 days, then at least weekly

Replace consumed bait.
Relocate if bait remains untouched.

⏳ Rodent death occurs 3–5 days after consumption.
🗓 Full control typically achieved within 2–6 weeks.
If no improvement after 35 days, consult a pest control professional.

Remove bait stations no later than 6 weeks after placement.

First Aid

If swallowed:

• Rinse mouth with water.

• Do NOT induce vomiting.

• Seek medical attention immediately and show the label.

Skin contact:

• Wash with water and soap.

Eye contact:

• Rinse for at least 10 minutes.

Antidote: Vitamin K1 (administered by medical/veterinary professionals only).

• Store in original unopened packaging

• Cool, dry, well-ventilated area

• Protect from light

• Shelf life: 2 years from manufacturing date
